Fixed caliper brakes are the robust solution for braking applications in which the brake caliper is firmly connected to the brake carrier. In contrast to floating caliper brakes, the fixed caliper remains fixed in its position, which ensures stable braking performance.
Special functions:
Even pressure distribution: The positioning on both sides of the brake disk exerts even pressure, which improves the braking effect.
Passive brake function: The brakes can be used as passive holding and emergency stop brakes, which are closed by a spring when not in use
Various brake spring assemblies and spacer plates allow the braking force to be finely graduated.
Optional additional functions such as opening, readjustment and wear detection systems are available.
Park-Off function: Releasing the brake spring when fully open makes installation, maintenance and repairs easier.
Leakage oil connections: For controlled drainage of leakage oil for a clean and reliable operating environment.
Protection against environmental influences: The hydraulic seals are far away from the brake disk to protect against heat build-up as a result of highly dynamic braking. Fully sealed joints prevent the ingress of dirt and fluids, which is particularly useful outdoors or in offshore applications.
Areas of application: The brakes have mining approval for the brake linings as standard. Typical areas of application for these spring-operated, hydraulically opening brake callipers are cranes, hoists, heavy industry, conveyor system construction and general mechanical engineering.
